Hueyapan is a municipality located Puebla's Sierra Norte. Known as the "Cuna del Chal" ("The Home of the Chal") that belongs to the Nahuatl, the largest indigenous group in Mexico, where traditional garments are still made applying different artisan techniques .
During this workshop, participants will be able to get closer to the cross stitch technique used to create quexquémitl, chales, skirts, girdles and blouses, where often includes designs of the region's flora and fauna.
Through dots and geometric lines, the typical figures of the community will be brought to life in a travel bag.

Our products are made in creative and productive collaboration with Mexican artisans. Their elaboration involves manual processes that generate variations in colors and textures. It is important to note that the actual color of the garment may vary from the color shown on the screen.
