OLINALA LACQUER / TEMALACATZINGO, GUERRERO

The gourds are containers that since pre-Hispanic times are obtained from the bottom of a gourd, an edible fruit.

The process begins with the collection of the fruits, plants and minerals, the fruits are cut, polished and left to dry and then apply oils, minerals and earth with the palm of the hand until obtaining a uniform color and shine, decorating each piece with different strokes of flowers, fretwork or freehand spots. This is known as the lacquer-maque technique.

Colors, Textures & Pre-Order

Our products are made in creative and productive collaboration with Mexican artisans. Their elaboration involves manual processes that generate variations in colors and textures. It is important to note that the actual color of the garment may vary from the color shown on the screen.

For products or variants that are available only on request (pre-order) we ask that 3 to 4 weeks of production be considered, in addition to the shipping time.
